Old East Village Flag Project

We are pleased to partner with Investing in Children to encourage children to connect with their community through the creation of a series of printed banner flags. Designed by students from four local elementary schools (Lorne Avenue Public School, Bishop Townsend Public School, Blessed Sacrament, and St. Mary Choir School) with the support of local artist Wanda Sawicki, the flags celebrate the Old East Village from the perspective of its younger residents.

This project includes an art exhibition to be held at the Palace Theatre,710 Dundas St. on Saturday, November 25 from 2:00-5:00pm to showcase the artwork submitted by the students for the flag project.

The flags are now hanging on Dundas Street between Adelaide and Lyle Street.
