Where were you on Remembrance Day this year?
In the nation’s capital, at the War Museum, hearing the Lark Ascend from Sarah Ryu's violin past an array of military vehicles and wing its musical way toward the Peace Tower?
You MISSED it??
We were thinking of you, London friends- and the musicians of the London Youth Symphony are happy to play the same program for you at OUR history-rich musical performance space- the Aeolian Hall, on Sunday, December the 2nd at 3:00 p.m.
Violin soloist is Sarah Ryu- London's Kiwanis Rose Bowl winner and LYS concertmaster. Her friends in LYS will accompany her in works by Vaughan-Williams and Saint-Saens. Also on the program- Rimsky-Korsakov's "The Snow Maiden" and Sibelius' "Karelia Suite".
Tickets are available from LYS musicians- $12.00 for adults and $10.00 for seniors and students. Or why not call our telephone mailbox and order tickets to be set aside for you at the box office- 519-686-8070.
Ottawa patrons of both the Museum of Civilization (your London kids played there in honour of the Glenn Gould exhibit ) and the Canadian War Museum pronounced LYS a "spectacular young orchestra". Come and hear what the buzz was all about!

EXTRA! EXTRA! EXTRA! LOVE LETTERS AND THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES
WANTED * DIRECTOR * CAST * CREW *
London Community Players is seeking a Director for The Vagina Monologues, an award winning episodic play written by Eve Ensler. We are also looking for cast and crew volunteers for BOTH shows over three weekends in November ’07. Sharon Straus has offered to produce both shows.
We are presently seeking performance rights for The Vagina Monologues and Love Letters.
These ‘extra’ shows will provide us an opportunity to generate needed theatre revenue. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to a local organization as part of our community service objectives. We are seeking that partnership now.
‘LOVE WEEKENDS AT THE PALACE’
Our plan is to open with LOVE LETTERS by A.R. Gurney on Friday November 16th and Saturday November 17th @ 8:00 pm. Directed by Bill McKenzie and produced by Sharon Straus.
The following weekend will be THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES by Eve Ensler on Friday November 23rd and Saturday November 24th @ 8:00 pm.
Ticket demand could force us to a “hold over” of THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES on Friday November 30th and Saturday December 1st @ 8:00 pm.
Ticket price will be $25.00.
Subscribers, please note: These extra shows are outside of our published season performance (6) schedule. LCP comp vouchers and gift certificates cannot be used for these productions.
INTERESTED DIRECTORS/CAST/CREW SHOULD CALL THE LCP OFFICE AT 519.432.1029 OR EMAIL: info@londoncommunityplayers.com BY OCT. 15/07.
