General Requirements for Application
Who qualifies for assistance?
- Registered property owner
- Must have 10% equity in the property
- Must have submitted a Façade Improvement Loan application prior to the improvements being undertaken
- Must submit two quotes in support of the proposed improvements
- Must have all property taxes paid in full when loan is issued
- There must be no outstanding debts or delinquencies with the City of London
- The property owner must not have defaulted on any City sponsored loan or grant program in the past
- Applicant must sign a loan agreement
What buildings are eligible?
- All buildings located in the Old East Village Community Improvement Project Area along Dundas Street between Adelaide Street and Charlotte Street.
- To be eligible for the grant component of specific incentives, the building must also contain a targeted or non-targeted use in the ground floor commercial space (see attachment for list of targeted uses)
