Why Old East Village?

FULL OF HISTORY

The Old East Village (OEV) was annexed into the City of London in 1885 and was once its own independent town filled with entrepreneurs and industry.  The architecture and this history remains and is still observable along Dundas St. in the Village.  The spirit of entrepreneurship is alive and well ensuring a commercial corridor that is fiercely independent and therefore truly represents the OEV personality. View our About Us page for more history!

Old East Village also has a unique food hub at Somerville 630 that offers a range of food and coffee options by independent businesses.

The OEV BIA has recently launched the Only in OEV campaign that spotlights food and drinks produced in Old East Village, including the OEV Dumpling Trail and OEV Libation District. Check it out!
