Attend the next Only in OEV Fridays Event featuring music by Crown Lands and more!

Come out to the fourth Only in OEV Fridays event on Friday, September 9th from 5-10 pm at 812 Dundas St. (the Russell Hendrix parking lot) for a celebration of local businesses and organizations, artists, and musicians found Only in OEV! Join us for free live music, and enjoy a beer garden, live mural painting and arts, local vendors, and more! We’ve had so much fun with Only in OEV Fridays this summer and we can’t wait to continue sharing what Old East Village has to offer with residents and visitors.

The event offers FREE live music with two talented Indigenous musical acts on the lineup—Crown Lands and Amanda Rheaume. With their powerful prog-rock sound, Crown Lands will undoubtedly be a fantastic show! Crown Lands recently took home the award for Breakthrough Group of the Year at the 2021 JUNOS.

Amanda Rheaume, is an award-winning Métis singer-songwriter with a “deeply personal and instantly accessible Americana sound.” Other musical acts include local folk musician Ben Heffernan and the band playing all your favourite classic covers, Kevin’s Bacon Train!

The event will have an array of live art including live mural painting by artists Jason Recker and Alayna Hryclik, and live art activations courtesy of the London Arts Council, including live painting and chalk drawing by Gil Clelland and Christina Gagne.

There will also be local vendors selling their wares at the event. Vendors include Soft Flirt apparel, Abbie Darling Customs jewellery, local clothing upcyclers WORTH, Artful Designer’s handmade paper products, Antler River Press with printed goods, Sacred Grace Holistic Healing, Lunah Life, Sister Earth Blends, The Mystic Bookshop, as well as Odyssey Records!

Plus, there will be many ways to connect with area businesses through promotions, Construction Dollar Cash Mobs (locations to be announced soon), giveaways, and additional activities.

Community organizations will also be in attendance to offer information as well as engaging activities! Joining us will be the London Environmental Network and the London Children’s Museum with fun, family-friendly programming.

Check out the beer garden with libations from Powerhouse Brewing Co., Anderson Craft Ales, and London Brewing Co-op on tap! Paradigm Spirits Co. will also be vending some of their craft spirits. Don’t miss the tasty food options like Momos at the Market’s Nepalese BBQ and treats from The Baker's Table & Pastry Co. More to be announced shortly!
