Our 2023 series took place from August-November. Only in OEV Fridays is currently on hiatus, but stay tuned to our social media for the latest updates!

Only in OEV Fridays - Nov

Our final Only in OEV Fridays of 2023 happened on November 24 in Queens Park and at The Western Fair District Market! Attendees enjoyed a festive evening of indoor and outdoor activities for all ages.

Outdoor Events (Queens Park)

  • Lighting of the lights

  • Music from Ivan Rivers, OH BERLIN, and OA(SIS)

  • Food vendors and a libation garden

  • Polaroid photo booth

  • Sleigh rides

Indoor Events (The WFD Market)

  • Night market

  • Pop-up local vendors

  • Buskers

  • Cash mobs

Only in OEV Fridays - Oct

In October, Only in OEV Fridays hosted a free movie night at the Palace Theatre in partnership with Odyssey Records & Cinema! Attendees enjoyed our family-friendly feature film, My Neighbor Totoro, plus local vendors, costumes, and food. The evening featured music from Yessica Woahneil, Gerardtoo Detoo, and Phil Kikuchi.

This month's Only in OEV Fridays happened on September 22nd from 5-9pm at the Russell Hendrix parking lot. This free community event included live music, local food and retail vendors, a beer garden, giveaways, and more. Our lineup featured Emily Jean Flack, Eleanor, Jesse Lectric, and OMBIIGIZI headlining the night.

Only in OEV Fridays - Aug

Only in OEV Fridays returned on August 18 from 4-8pm in partnership with the Aeolian Jazz and Musical Arts Festival! We held a free community celebration highlighting all OEV has to offer including outdoor jazz performances from Diegra Kambamba, Josh Hung Trio, and Juice Joint and a beer garden with local beverages.

Only in OEV Fridays

Only in OEV events celebrate local businesses and organizations, artists and makers, musicians and more who can be found Only in OEV! The initial Only in OEV Fridays event series took place in 2022 on the second Friday of each month from June through October, with the first soiree taking place on June 10th, 2022.

The Old East Village BIA also organized Illuminate OEV in Queens Park with the Western Fair District Market on November 25th, 2022 and a Holiday Shop to Win event on December 10th, 2022.

 

This page will stay updated with any future events organized by the BIA.
