There's something very exciting on the horizon and it's thanks to one of Old East Village's newest neighbours, Libro. Having opened in late 2019 on the northeast corner of Dundas and Ontario Streets, Libro immediately presented itself as a friendly and supportive OEV community member.

To show this support, they will hold the "Libro OEV Celebration" event, taking place on Friday Jan. 24 from 6-9 pm at Union Ten Distillery.

Libro Brand Specialist, Sarah Fergusson, told us "we're so excited to be part of the neighbourhood so we wanted to host an event that was open to everyone and celebrates all things OEV."

And celebrate it will, in fact, from top to bottom, this event has OEV written all over it! Some features include complementary food and drinks from Union Ten, live music starting with Taylor Holden followed by family fave Kevin's Bacon Train. Also, door prizes include products from neighbourhood businesses like Booch and The Been Garden along with little unknown items like a Nintendo Switch and and Google Home, just to name a few!

On top of all of this, there is a vendor lineup that's stacked with locally made, artisanal goodness. Many Western Fair Market staple will be featured such as Purple Moose Sock Co., Evelynn by Nicole Snobelen, Little LDN Boutique, Frontier Man Beard Co.,and The Factory

As well, look forward to non-market but no less awesome participant, Burdy Co. and Purdy Natural.

It really is everything you need, in one place and guess what else, the first 50 people to arrive will get $10 to spend at the vendor of their choice.

As Sarah put it, "Old East Village is such a unique and vibrant community so this is a night of local celebration and promotion."

It's safe to say this line up does just that so mark your calendars and get down to Union Ten Friday Jan. 24 to join in the festivities. This event is free and does not require tickets but Libro has asked those planning to attend to please RSVP right here.

This is a family friendly event and you can find any further details on the Facebook page.

See you all there!
