As the pandemic restrictions lift, we look forward to welcoming you back to Old East Village to explore all there is to offer. From the patios at cafés and breweries and distilleries to shops reopening, there are a lot of things to see leading into the summer months. With the start of summer, comes the start of patio season! Enjoy a socially distanced patio in Old East Village and discover some hidden gems.
Grab an iced coffee with the perfect ice ratio at Backroads Café and Tavern!
Backroads Café & Tavern
Stop by the newly opened patio at Backroads Café & Tavern! There are lots of drink options to try, including the Oat Milk latte or a refreshing iced coffee with the perfect blend and coffee to ice ratio. They also rotate seasonal baked goods made with fresh and local ingredients!

Anderson Craft Ales and Eat OA
Anderson Craft Ales is a family-owned and operated brewery specializing in small-batch handcrafted, premium beers. Make sure to check out their patio this summer and grab a bite to eat from Eat OA. They also have brunch available on Sundays from 10-2pm.
With ample seating, the patio is a great place to spend summer nights! Check out their new Heeman’s Strawberry Sour drink in partnership with local favourite, Heeman’s!

Are you looking at heading to the beach but don’t want to make the road trip? Make sure to check out the patio oasis at Union Ten Distillery, otherwise known as the ‘Sand Beach

Did you know that OEV has a speakeasy? Mockingbird bar is located as a speakeasy in Whistling Dicks Barbershop. Make sure to drop by their dreamy patio this summer, open from 5 pm - 2am!

London Brewing brews beer that showcases local, organic ingredients. Check out their patio and take a seat and enjoy a brew beside the colourful mural. Visit their socials for the rotating food trucks that come onsite!

There’s lots to explore at 100 Kellogg! Drop by Powerhouse Brewery and Paradigm Distillery Co. this summer to check out their patio and grab a drink and a bite to eat.
While you’re in the area, make sure to check out The Icebox, a self-contained ice cream truck that runs on solar power, ice cream chilled by the sun!

Check out the patio seating at Dundas and Sons Brewery, a micro-brewery that specializes in locally sourced organic/all-natural craft beers, wines, spirits, and cocktails. They have teamed up with Doing Fine Kitchen to provide some delicious bites to go along with the brews, like the delicious mozzarella sticks.

Look for the colourful seating! Specializing in fresh pour-over coffee, 10Eighteen Café has reopened its patio seating. Grab an iced drink and a sweet treat, such as a blueberry crumble bar or perhaps stop by for a yummy breakfast and try an avocado toast!
