The Old East Village BIA is very excited to introduce the #DIGOEV Digital Marketing Fund! This fund will provide qualifying OEV businesses/organizations with micro grants which include coaching and funds to utilize digital marketing promotion through social media in order to support existing local business promotion. This Fund is the first of its kind and will nicely complement programs such as Digital Main Street (more info to come on that soon!) we’re so excited to provide you with the details!
Thanks to Western Fair District’s Virtual Beer & BBQ Show - which took place on June 5-6, 2020 - there was over $1770 raised in event profits which were donated in full to create the base for this Fund. In addition to the event’s profits, Libro’s generous donation, and the OEV BIA’s contribution of additional monies to bolster the #DIGOEV Digital Marketing Fund, we’re able to provide even more support to area businesses in this time of need.
“We were delighted to see the amount of support from both the OEV Community and surrounding businesses with the launch of our Virtual Beer & BBQ show. We didn’t really know what to expect with this being a first-time virtual event for us, but our local businesses stepped up to participate and sponsor, and we had a lot of great interaction during the show from attendees,” said Western Fair District Events Manager, Bridget Mahon said in a press release.
Of the Fund, OEV BIA Manager, Jen Pastorius said “this support from Old East Village businesses for Old East Village businesses really exemplifies why our neighbourhood is so great. As a staff, we are eager to start helping area businesses promote themselves online through the DIGOEV Digital Marketing Fund thanks to the Western Fair District and Libro.”
